WHAT IS SCULPTRA?
Sculptra is made with poly-L-lactic acid which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body. This bio-compatible, bio-degradable, synthetic material helps to rebuild lost collagen. Collagen depletes every year with age, by age 45 up to 25% of collagen is lost in the skin.
You can see in the patient below, that Sculptra has helped fill in the hollowness on their cheeks, and temples, and provides an overall more youthful and rejuvenated face.
WHAT AREAS DOES IT TREAT?
Sculptra is ideal for areas with deep folds between the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds), also called “smile lines”, lines framing the mouth (marionette lines), filling in hollow temples and cheeks, and chin wrinkles.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR RESULTS TO SHOW?
Sculptra is done through a series of treatments. We advise after your appointment to set up a follow-up 4-5 weeks out, and follow your treatment plan to see optimal results after around 3 months. Sculptra lasts for up to two years after your last treatment.
